Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver and set up home medical equipment, educate customers on usage, and perform follow-up care and documentation. The role involves travel to patient homes, clinics, and care settings, with on-call duties outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Entry level sales, customer service background essential.
• One year of military, delivery driver with sales component or health care technician experience considered related experience and preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of work-related experience and one year of exact job experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of current HME products and regulations.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment at home.
• Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery or pickups.
• Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
• Process all orders in a timely, accurate manner.
• Promote services and products to referral sources in the community.
• Develop reimbursement knowledge and document information for reimbursement.
• Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs.
• Maintain home oxygen systems and schedule visits.
• Safely drive and maintain company vehicle.
• Perform patient assessment and re-assessment for care.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs on equipment.
• Report equipment hazards and incidents as required.
• On-call responsibilities during non-business hours.
