Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician - DOT to support delivery, setup, and education of home medical equipment for customers. You will drive large vehicles, ensure DOT compliance, and work in patients' homes to provide safe, effective equipment usage and follow-up care.

The role requires physical ability to lift heavy equipment, knowledge of HME products, and commitment to compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Entry-level opportunity in medical equipment delivery with patient interaction.
• Requires ability to lift up to 100–160 pounds and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive vehicles ≥10,001 lb with DOT compliance.
• Deliver and set up home medical equipment at customer homes.
• Educate customers on proper use and care of respiratory and HME devices.
• Process orders accurately and maintain patient visit reports.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and urgent service needs.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient information and documentation.
