Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, and help ensure safe, compliant care across field locations.

Primarily field-based with daily home visits, you’ll maintain equipment, respond to issues, and participate in on-call rotations. A valid driver’s license and customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, Field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One (1) year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two (2) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and service respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including PPE usage.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
