Zusammenfassung

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting.

This role requires a valid driver's license, willingness to travel within the assigned area, and strict HIPAA and safety compliance. Compensation is based on experience with a comprehensive benefits package. On-call rotation may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in customer service, field-based delivery, or healthcare preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs; report hazards or incidents as required.
• Process orders and complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with company policies.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on-call rotation.
