Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other settings as needed. You will educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, and ensure safety and independence for users.

In this role, you will maintain oxygen systems, respond to equipment issues including emergencies, and uphold HIPAA and infection-control standards while traveling to assigned areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including PPE usage.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
