Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment for patients in home, clinic, or field settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safe, comfortable, and independent use of equipment.

In this role you will perform assessments, maintain equipment, comply with HIPAA and safety standards, and participate in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up visits to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems with scheduled visits.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle safely.
• Complete documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and on-call rotation.
