Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patient homes, clinics, and other care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safety, comfort, and independence, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and documenting service activities.

This role is field-based with on-site patient visits and requires a valid driver's license; pay is $22-$23 per hour with comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of healthcare technician, field service or related experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience for senior level positions in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care and troubleshooting.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Document orders and service activities accurately and timely.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Support referral sources and ensure proper billing for equipment/services.
