Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to safely deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment at patients' homes and clinics. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure comfort and safety, and uphold HIPAA compliance.

You’ll participate in on-call rotation, maintain equipment, and support reimbursement processes while upholding company policies and safety standards in a field-based role across designated Colorado regions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re assessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs; report equipment hazards or incidents as required.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources, as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all company policies and compliance program requirements
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on call rotation as scheduled
• Perform other related duties as assigned
