Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

The role emphasizes patient care, equipment maintenance, and adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards, with daily field-based responsibilities and a strong focus on service quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re assessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
