Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes or care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on proper use and troubleshooting, ensuring comfort, safety and independence.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, an unrestricted driver’s license, and relevant healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, or related field experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience for senior level (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment at patient homes, long-term care settings, clinics, or other service locations.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of HME equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies when required.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and proper PPE usage; protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete required documentation and ensure timely processing for reimbursement and care coordination.
