AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely transition patients home by delivering, setting up, and supporting respiratory and home medical equipment. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensuring comfort, safety, and independence during visits across assigned areas.

The role emphasizes field-based service with on-call rotation, requiring a high school diploma, customer service or healthcare experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience is preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience is preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain knowledge of Home Medical Equipment (HME) products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
