Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safety and independence.

This field-based role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and a customer-service focus. Prior healthcare or field-service experience is preferred, and on-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge for proper billing.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and participate in on-call rotations.
