Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Sterile Products Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding and related pharmacy services. The role operates under a pharmacist and adheres to USP standards and department policies to ensure safe medication preparation and delivery.

The incumbent will handle inventory, documentation, patient communications, and QA activities while maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active license with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• 1+ years related work experience required.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse professionals.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based apps and MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access).

Responsabilités

• Prepare, store and distribute compounded and non-compounded items.
• Manage inventory and complete audits with patients by phone or digital channels.
• Handle insurance billing and patient collections.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Maintain pharmacy records and ensure proper documentation.
• Order, receive and inspect medications and supplies.
• Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing roles.
• Operate, clean and sanitize equipment and compounding areas.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment for compounding.
• Verify calculations on compounding records and master formulas.
• Coordinate with pharmacy team to compound and QA batches.
• Ensure compounds align with master formula records and documentation.
• Consult pharmacists/QA when questions arise.
• Support QA activities including monitoring production environment.
