Job summary

Amerita is seeking a Registered Nurse for infusion care delivered in the patient’s home. This role provides 1:1 care to infusion patients across multiple AZ communities, including Willcox, Safford, Douglas, Benson, and nearby counties.

The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, perform IV therapies, and collaborate with pharmacy and providers to optimize treatment goals. A valid RN license, CPR, and infusion/home health experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous infusion and home health care experience preferred.
• Extensive IV therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses all patients assigned and establishes and implements the Plan of Care.
• Adheres to policies and procedures for infusion nursing, pharmacy services and state laws.
• Adheres to INS and IgNS standards, CDC guidelines, and ANA code of ethics.
• Collaborates with pharmacy staff, sales partners, ordering provider and patient to develop and monitor goals of therapies.
• Completes patient care documentation in place of service, including home or AIS.
• Manages vascular access devices, including peripheral infusion device insertion and blood draws.
• Educates patients and caregivers, evaluates progress toward goals and makes physician recommendations.
• Coordinates nursing care with home health and community agencies; participates in on-call rotation.
• Completes annual competencies and mandatory training; tracks expenses.
