Palomacares is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide skilled home infusion therapy in the Texarkana, Texas area. The role involves traveling to patients' homes to administer IV medications and other therapies, under physician orders and pharmacy protocols.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience.
• Competency in peripheral IV insertion and central-line care.
• Strong patient assessment, documentation, and education skills.
• Ability to work independently in patients' homes.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Smartphone and reliable internet access for scheduling and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide home infusion therapy, including IV medications, biologics, IVIG, antibiotics, hydration, and other prescribed therapies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after each infusion.
• Initiate and manage peripheral IV access and provide care for PICC lines, ports, and other vascular access devices.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
• Educate patients and caregivers on medications, infusion procedures, and signs requiring medical attention.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the pharmacy, physician, case manager, and clinical team.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic clinical documentation following each visit.
• Maintain infection-control and medication-safety standards in the home environment.
• Track supplies used and report any concerns.
• Travel throughout the Texarkana service area for scheduled patient visits.
