Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum is seeking a Home Infusion Nurse to deliver one-on-one, skilled clinical care in patients' homes or ambulatory infusion suites, with autonomy, a flexible schedule, and meaningful patient connections.

This full-time role covers travel within an 80-mile radius of Woonsocket, RI, requires an RI or Compact RN license, BLS/CPR, strong IV skills, and independent practice with a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in RI or Compact required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Proficient IV starts across patient populations.
• Ability to work independently with clinical judgment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to cover 80-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes within 80 miles of Woonsocket RI.
• Provide safe infusion services per policies and orders.
• Educate patients and caregivers on self-care and administration.
• Assess home safety and caregiver support for infusion.
• Maintain patient histories, visit notes, and care plans.
• Deliver nursing care per physician orders and plans.
• Manage vascular access including IVs and ports.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Communicate status with physicians, pharmacists and team.
• Assist in staff orientation and training as needed.
