Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum Infusion Pharmacy in Roseville, MN is seeking a Pharmacist to dispense unit doses, specialty meds, and IV therapies, while ensuring compliance with FDA/DEA guidelines and optimal patient care.

The position requires an unrestricted Pharmacist license and a BS/PharmD, with on-site coordination with nursing and pharmacy teams. Hours are 8:00–5:00, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree is required.
• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Solid drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in infusion therapies and complex therapy orders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to fill medication orders accurately and timely.
• Flexible 8-hour shifts 7am–7pm on weekdays with rotating weekends; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Dispense unit doses and specialty medications following regulations and policies.
• Process, pack and ship outgoing orders with patient education materials.
• Order and inventory management including proper storage and refrigeration.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness and completeness for various age groups.
• Verify prescriptions not directly received from prescriber.
• Provide oversight of safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical care.
• Develop patient care plans and monitor therapy per care plan.
