Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state.
• Solid drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
• Experience with infusion therapies and complex orders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to fill medication orders accurately and timely.
• Flexible schedule with 8-hour shifts (7am-7pm) on weekdays and rotating weekends; on-call rotation.
• Residence within commutable distance to the branch.

Responsibilities

• Dispense unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, enteral and related supplies per regulations.
• Process, pack and ship outgoing pharmacy orders with patient education materials.
• Perform drug ordering and inventory duties; properly refrigerate perishable products.
• Review medication orders for completeness and appropriateness per patient needs.
• Verify prescriptions not directly received from prescriber.
• Oversee safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical care for patients with specialty products.
• Develop patient care plans and monitor therapy according to care plan.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses and other pharmacists on status and outcomes.
• Compound IV and specialty meds aseptically per guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/DEA/state OSHA rules; supervise technicians as needed.
• Calibrate dosing pumps and verify dispensing accuracy.
• Access and verify prescription data in the system; determine reimbursement eligibility.
• Contact patients to resolve issues and set up on-site treatments.
• Prepare and scan documents; submit orders in the system.
