Optum Infusion Pharmacy in Roseville, MN is seeking a Pharmacist to dispense unit doses and specialty infusions, oversee aseptic compounding, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy required.
• Current, unrestricted Minnesota Pharmacist license.
• Solid drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in infusion therapies and complex orders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to fill medication orders accurately and timely.
• Flexible schedule (7am–7pm weekdays) with rotating weekends.
• Permanent residence within a commutable distance to Roseville, MN.

Responsibilities

• Dispense unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, enteral and related supplies following regulations and policies.
• Process, pack and ship outgoing pharmacy orders with education materials.
• Perform drug/order inventory and proper storage of drugs and supplies; monitor equipment.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness and completeness for all ages.
• Verify prescriptions not directly from prescriber or agent.
• Provide oversight of safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical care.
• Assess patient at initiation of drug therapy and monitor according to plan.
• Communicate with patients and health team to ensure outcomes.
• Compound IV and specialty meds aseptically per guidelines and policy.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/DEA/State OSHA standards and policies.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Pharmacists verify orders and calibrate dosing pumps.
