Job summary

Amerita (BrightSpring Health family) is seeking a part-time home infusion nurse in Knoxville. You will care for infusion patients 1:1 in their homes, assess care plans, and collaborate with pharmacy and medical providers.

The role involves travel to patient homes, on-call duties, and weekend coverage as needed. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have infusion and IV therapy experience, and can work a flexible schedule with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
• Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice.
• Minimum of one year RN experience.
• Infusion and home health care experience preferred.
• Extensive IV therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible schedule with a variety of shifts.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Travel: 100% regularly driving to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and establish/implement Plan of Care.
• Adhere to infusion and home health policies, state laws, and regulations.
• Follow INS/IgNS standards and CDC guidelines.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff, providers, and patients to monitor therapies.
• Document patient care in the home setting or AIS.
• Manage vascular access devices and draw labs peripherally.
• Educate patients and caregivers about therapies.
• Evaluate progress and advise physicians on Plan of Care changes.
• Coordinate nursing care with home health and community agencies.
• Participate in on-call rotations and complete expense reports.
