Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Tennessee with compact license or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ years of clinical experience with IVs/infusions.
• Proven teaching skills and ability to educate patients and families.
• Strong organizational/critical thinking and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary team and travel within a 2-hour radius of Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain clinical rapport with patients and families for infusion therapy and education.
• Assess patient suitability for home infusion and caregiver support.
• Document patient history and ongoing care details in medical records.
• Complete nursing plans of care, POT/485s, orders and visit notes with signatures.
• Participate in case conferences to plan patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing care per plan and physician orders.
• Establish and maintain vascular access devices as prescribed.
• Administer medications and monitor responses and potential adverse effects.
• Communicate patient status and observations to care team in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with home health agencies and education for staff as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date nursing licensure across states served.
