Job summary

Amerita, part of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a home infusion RN to care for infusion patients in their homes across Hudson, Bergen, and Union Counties. Monday–Friday with an on-call rotation; weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an RN.
• Infusion and home health care experience preferred.
• Extensive IV therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work variable shifts.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; meet driving record standards.
• Percentage of travel: 100% regular driving to patient’s homes.

Responsibilities

• Assesses all patients assigned and establishes and implements the Plan of Care.
• Adheres to policies and procedures addressing infusion nursing services, pharmacy services, and state laws.
• Adheres to INS and IgNS standards, CDC guidelines, and ANA code of ethics.
• Collaborates with pharmacy staff, sales partners, ordering provider and patient to monitor therapy goals.
• Completes patient care documentation in home or AIS.
• Manages vascular access devices and peripheral IV insertion; draws labs.
• Educates patients and caregivers.
• Evaluates progress and suggests changes to physicians.
• Coordinates nursing care with home health and community agencies.
• Participates in on-call rotation per branch protocol.
• Completes expense reports and tracks mileage.
• Completes annual competencies and mandatory training.
