Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in Monroe, LA to help customers identify products and turn ideas into home improvement results. You'll be the first point of contact, guiding customers through questions, features, and financing options to close a sale.

In this role, you'll move around the store, support department goals, and train colleagues. Lowe's offers bonus opportunities, health plans, tuition assistance, a company 401(k), and a 10% associate discount, plus Track to the Trades program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail (or 3 years external if education unmet).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs.
• Able to obtain sales-related licensure if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating Lowe's advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, scheduling installer visits and tracking orders.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate stock with vendors.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
