Job summary

Lowe's in Michigan is seeking a Sales Specialist to be one of the first associates customers meet, using sales expertise to help find products and transform ideas into reality. If you enjoy helping people and solving problems in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect role for you.

You’ll become the product expert, informing customers of specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close a sale and help meet home improvement goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (Or 3 years of external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months of Lowe’s retail experience if education requirement is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this requirement).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs and communicate product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates and installations.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/store for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions, department pages, and assistance requests.
• Train associates in the department and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
