Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand project needs, and guide them to products and services that fit. You will become a product expert, explain specifications and financing options, and close sales with a focus on customer satisfaction.

You'll work in a department based on needs, with opportunities to support installers, vendors, and other stores, while training teammates and ensuring pricing and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift 25 lbs or more, with or without accommodation.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's supports funding).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating advantages of Lowe's products.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule installers, and track orders.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory and work with vendors/store teams to restock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
