Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to be a welcoming first contact for customers in our store. You will help customers identify products, answer questions, and guide them from project idea to purchase, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

In this role you will become a product expert across departments, discuss features and promotions, and support customers through the sales process with friendly, knowledgeable service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales / 18 months Lowe's if education not met).
• 1 year experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted (or >25 lbs with assistance).
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating advantages of Lowe's products/services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up for project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, collaborate with vendors/stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews per pricing policies and maintain pricing/documents.
• Support checkout functions and department communications.
• Train associates in the department on the Sales floor and coach development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
