Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, discuss project needs, and help them select the right home improvement products.

You’ll build product expertise, explain features and financing options, and aim to close sales while delivering excellent service. You’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more, with opportunities for growth through bonus plans, discounts, tuition assistance, and a company-matching 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and explaining Lowe’s products.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors, provide project estimates and schedule installer visits.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors for stock replacement.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and associate training on the sales floor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
