Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right products and services to complete home improvement projects. You’ll become a product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales across departments such as Appliances, Flooring, and Windows & Walls.

The role emphasizes active customer interaction, problem solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Willingness to obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe’s supports this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, with project estimates and scheduling installer visits.
• Coordinate and track customer orders and installations and follow up to ensure project completion.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors to maintain stock and price accuracy.
• Train associates in the department and coach for development needs.
