Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Earn 10 continuing education credits annually.
- One year of medical surgical experience.
- Has demonstrated proficiency for the RN role.
Responsibilities
- Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients and families.
- Assuring/Improving Quality Care: Facilitate access to quality, cost-effective care and participate in quality initiatives.
- Patient/Staff Education: Meet learning needs of patients and families and educate nursing peers.
- Nursing Process: Apply nursing process, prioritize care and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
- Leadership/Collaboration/Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership and pursue ongoing professional development.
