Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program (PTA)
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• 6+ months experience as a PTA preferred
• Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area
• Must have a dependable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Willing to travel 50% of the time
• Able to lift 50-100 lbs and assist with transfers
• Employed in a staff role with ongoing duties

Responsibilities

• Performs direct physical therapy services under supervision to ensure quality and continuity of care
• Follows Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and reports changes promptly
• Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines and physician orders
• Instructs patients and families in home therapy programs and use of devices
• Promotes the organization's philosophy and policies to ensure quality care
• Participates in a collaborative, patient-centered home care team
