Job summary

PruittHealth Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home physical therapy under supervision of a PT. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, development of care plans, and timely documentation in the patient’s home environment.

Qualified candidates have a PTA degree, an unrestricted license, and at least 2 years of therapy experience; foreign-trained applicants must demonstrate credential equivalence.

Qualifications

• Requires valid and unrestricted PTA license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Foreign-trained graduates must have evaluation showing equivalence to US PTA entry-level education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of the plan of care within physician- and patient-defined goals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage the patient care plan.
• Maintain documentation accurately at the point of care according to industry standards.
• Assist the physical therapist in assessing patient function and mobility.
• Ensure licensure, certifications and records meet federal, state and agency guidelines.
