Job summary

UT Health ET Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Full-Time position in Texarkana, TX. The PTA will support licensed physical therapists in delivering rehabilitative care, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress to optimize recovery.

Responsibilities include assisting with exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, documenting patient responses, and educating patients and families on exercises and prevention strategies.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited PTA program and state licensure exam.
• Current Texas PTA license is required or eligible.
• 1 year of home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation under supervision.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatment, reporting progress to the supervising physical therapist.
