Job summary

Methodist-Retirement-Communities is seeking a thoughtful Physical Therapy Assistant to support older adults in Texarkana, Texas. You will implement treatment plans under a licensed PT, guide therapeutic exercises, and promote safe mobility for residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in Texas.
• Two to three years of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, or related setting preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist residents with therapeutic exercise and mobility.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and use of assistive devices.
• Measure and record ROM, vital signs, and other treatment data.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure resident-centered care.
• Educate residents and caregivers about therapeutic routines and safety.
