Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Arlington, TX is hiring a full-time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a compassionate, patient-centered team serving the Burleson area. The PTA will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and education under the supervision of a PT, and help patients improve well-being in their homes.

This role requires active state PTA licensure, reliable transportation, weekend availability, and the ability to work in diverse home environments.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing physical therapy in home care and perform only procedures defined by the supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional training, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and coordinates care with the healthcare team
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy areas within PT scope
• Function in diverse home environments regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition
