Job summary

At Home Healthcare, part of LHC Group and a member of the UnitedHealth Group family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients according to the established plan of care.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with exercises, monitoring patient response, coordinating with the care team, and training patients and families in therapy techniques. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home PT practice and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
