Job summary

Best Home Health Providers, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver hands-on therapy in patient homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role focuses on mobility, functional recovery, and safe transfers in a home setting.

The position is per diem with a rate of $95 per visit, offering flexibility and the potential to convert to full-time based on performance. Applicants must hold an APTA-accredited PTA degree, CA PTA license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license issued by the California Physical Therapy Board.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on PTA services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
