Job summary

Iowa Home Care is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver in-home therapy in the Ottumwa area under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement individualized plans, guide patients through exercises, and monitor progress in the patient’s living environment.

We value flexibility, strong communication, and compassionate care as you help patients regain independence and safely participate in daily activities across home settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy interventions in patients' homes according to the established plan of care.
• Carry out therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and functional mobility.
• Assist patients with walking, transfers, positioning, and other functional movement activities.
• Provide gait and balance training as directed by the supervising PT.
• Reinforce home exercise programs and educate patients and caregivers.
