Job summary

Optum's HomeCall unit, part of the LHC Group family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy under a supervising PT. You will implement treatment plans, guide exercise programs, and educate patients and families to improve well-being.

The role requires PTA licensure, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability, with a comprehensive benefits package and mileage reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and perform only tasks defined by supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment; coordinate care with the health care team
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers in therapy within the PTA scope
• Ability to function in diverse home settings and with all clients
