Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered care. The role involves assisting with physical therapy procedures, adjusting treatments within the established plan, and documenting patient progress.

You will contribute to patient safety, comfort, and dignity while coordinating the PT aide workload and addressing age-specific needs. Applicants typically hold an Associate's degree and an active PTA license in the practicing state;

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy.
• Modify a treatment procedure within the PT plan as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and report safety concerns.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient dignity and comfort.
• Assess and address patient pain according to the department policy.
