Christus Homecare in Palestine, TX is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate home health team. The PTA will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education while following the plan of care under the supervision of a licensed PT.

Responsibilities include teaching active and passive exercises, observing and reporting patient progress, coordinating with the care team, and supporting families in therapy goals.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsabilités

• Following state-specific laws governing home care physical therapy
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observes and reports patient responses and coordinates care with the health team
• Educates patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within the PTA scope
• Target Annual Pay: $52,417-$72,073
