Job summary

Christus Homecare in Palestine, TX, seeks a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our caring team, delivering PT assistance under supervision to improve patient well-being.

You will instruct active and passive exercises, gait and mobility training, and support the plan of care, with duties including documentation and collaboration with the care team. Competitive pay with comprehensive benefits and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws for home care PT services and perform only supervised tasks.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, and safety.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within scope of PT assistant.
• Perform duties as defined by supervising Physical Therapist and plan of care.
