Job summary

Christus Homecare in Palestine, TX is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our passionate team. You will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving the patient’s well-being while following the established plan of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed/certified Physical Therapist Assistant in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home settings.
• Weekend rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise the plan of care with the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional tasks and ADLs.
• Observe, record and report patient response to treatment; coordinate care with the health team.
• Educate patient, family and other health-care team members in therapy within the PT scope.
