Job summary

Alternate Solutions Health Network seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health team. You will provide skilled therapy under a licensed PT to help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve independence in their homes.

Travel across Clinton, Doylestown, Orville and surrounding areas is required. We offer competitive pay, benefits, flexibility, and professional development to support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of employment.
• Minimum one year of PTA experience in an acute care setting.
• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
• Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other prescribed interventions.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, safety precautions, and home exercise programs.
• Instruct patients and family members on assistive devices and equipment use.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely per policies and Medicare requirements.
• Attend required meetings, in-service trainings, and continuing education programs.
