Job summary

a2z Physical Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality, one-on-one home care in a flexible, community-based setting. The PTA will focus on orthopedic and musculoskeletal cases and work directly with patients in their homes.

The ideal candidate is experienced, compassionate, and committed to helping patients regain function and improve quality of life, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Maryland PTA license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, gait, balance, and manual therapy within PTA scope.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate status changes to the PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Document accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure exceptional care.
