Job summary

Amedisys in South Carolina is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT, following a physician-approved plan of care. Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year PTA experience in home health is preferred.
• If less than one year, mentoring and guidance are required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of a PT per plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient response and condition changes.
• Supports wellness and prevention and documents supervisory activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and coordinates care.
• Participates in conferences, education, and quality improvement activities.
