Job summary

Amedisys Home Health in Durham, NC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role. You will provide PT services under a supervising PT, support patient mobility at home, and help patients heal where they feel most comfortable.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in the assigned state.
• Graduated from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• CPR certification current.
• Minimum one year PTA experience in home health or approved residency/mentoring arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed PT and physician plan of care.
• Observe, document and report patient responses to therapy.
• Promote wellness and prevention and coordinate with care team.
• Document supervisory activities in medical record.
• Assist with follow-up care referrals to community resources.
