Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Camden, SC. This full-time role offers day shifts, one-to-one patient ratios and a focus on life‑changing home health care, allowing patients to heal where they feel most comfortable—at home.

Qualifications

• Must hold current PTA license in the assigned state.
• Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• At least 1 year PTA experience; if less, mentoring and/or residency program approval may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT and per plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment and changes in condition.
• Provides resources for prevention and wellness.
• Documents supervisory activities in patient records.
• Monitors patient response to PT intervention.
• Participates in care conferences, in-services, and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care with involved agencies.
