Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide field-based, one-on-one home health care. You will help patients regain mobility and independence in their homes, following individualized plans with a licensed Physical Therapist.

Strong communication, reliability, and patient-centered care are essential as you collaborate with the care team and family members. The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, a current PTA license, CPR certification, and a valid

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
