Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT; perform only per plan of care as defined by supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses; coordinates care with health care team
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and others in therapy within PTA scope
