Job summary

Beaumont ASHN is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled services in patients' homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will educate patients and families, document care, and ensure safety while adhering to state practice guidelines.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, serving Paducah-Calloway and surrounding Marshall counties. Travel and on-call duties may apply as needed. A valid PTA license in Kentucky is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of PTA experience in an acute setting.
• Home care experience is desired.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance with your name listed as driver.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled PTA services in a patient's home as developed by the Physical Therapist plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports patient reactions, changes, and progress.
• Educates patient and family on therapy techniques involved, safety measures, and supportive activities.
• Completes chart audits and documents all aspects of treatment, assessments, and patient education.
• Travels to patient locations and participates in on-call duties as required.
